Code of Conduct

As an Explorer with the Cape Cod Amateur Radio Explorer Post 73, I will…

Contribute to the Cape Cod Community
Being an Explorer is being a community citizen, participating in community service projects and being seen by the community as a valued contributor.

Be Honest and Trustworthy.
My word is my commitment. I may encounter sensitive situations or information that must be treated as confidential and never shared, except as directed by Advisors of the Post.

Be Fair and Avoid Discrimination
The values of equality, tolerance, respect for others, and the principles of equal justice govern this imperative. Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, age, disability, national origin, or other such factors is an explicit violation of Explorer policy and will not be tolerated by me.

Demand Honor of Myself and of other Post Explorers
In all dealings, both within and without the Post, I will always demonstrate personal integrity. I will be a model to others within the Post and will not tolerate a lack of integrity from others.

Serve Respectfully to all Officers and Advisors of the Post
An Explorer Post is led by the Officers and Advisors. If I disagree with an action or directive, I will notify the Advisor or Associate Advisor to pursue resolution. I will never publicly criticize or otherwise appear disrespectful to any member of the Post.

Wear the Assigned Uniform with Pride, According to Post Policy
The Explorer uniform is a public display of my commitment and pride of our Post. I will wear it only when so directed by Officers and Advisors of the Post and always in a neat and clean presentation.

Respect my Body and My Capabilities to Serve the Post and Community
As an Explorer, I will not use alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, or other intoxicants or sedatives that are intended to inhibit my mental abilities or that are injurious to my health.

Contribute to Post Meetings and Training Sessions
Explorers achieve objectives by teamwork and I will be an active contributor and participant in Post Meetings and Training Sessions and will be a regular attendee.
