The 
Amateur Radio Explorer Posts’s goal is to have youth members achieve the amateur radio license and to upgrade to their potential. Along with that goal, it will also promote community service, emergency service and the understating of radio electronics within its activities. It will also engage in program activities centered on career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education and leadership experience.
Technician license class
On 11/25/2011 to 11/27/2011 there will be a Technician license class at the Dennis Police Dept. Dennis, Ma. The class will begin on Friday from 1pm to 5pm and continue the same time on Saturday and same for Sunday and a test will be given at the end of class on Sunday.The Class is free of charge.

Jamboree on the air event
On 10/15/2011 We will be setting up for the Scouting's 'Jamboree on the air' an annual event at Boy Scout Camp Greenough. We will conduct hf,vhf, digital modes contacts for scouting groups to participate in. We will be using the call sign W1EXP, the explorer post 73 call sign.

Oct 1, 2011 Explorer Post trip
Saturday Oct 1 Explorer post trip will be at The 'New England Wireless and Steam Museum' in Rhode Island. The eswill display vintage radio gear includung a spark gap tansmitter and a steam-up of steam engines there and what hobbiest bring to this event. The event will start at 8AM at the museum. Details for departure will be discussed.

Post 73 will be joining the Barnstable Amateur Radio Club for Field Day once again this year and would like to invite anyone interested in learning more about Amateur radio to visit us during the event on Saturday, June 25 at 3:00pm.
